How well do you see the needs of other people? It's an important question. See why with today's Bible Minute.
Listen to John 4:28: "The woman then left her water pot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, 'Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did.' ... In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, 'Rabbi, eat.'"
He says to them, "I have food to eat that you don't know about." Now Jesus is seeing this woman, and addressing her most important need- the need for spiritual transformation. The disciples are thinking about the need for lunch. Now listen, lunch is important. But we can't allow what's temporal to rob us of seeing what's eternal -- and we do that quite often. You can do good on the earth with a heavenly vision, but you can never do good for heaven with only an earthly vision.
