Superior Rest

in Salvation

Have you ever thought of Jesus as your "rest"? Here's today's Bible Minute.

In Matthew 11:28 Jesus said, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

So what does that mean for us? It means that real rest lies in Jesus being our salvation. You see, when he died on the cross as payment for our sins, Jesus ended our need to work for our own salvation. So, after a long journey of trying to please God--when we discover Jesus--we discover rest from trying on our own to get rid of our guilt. That's the rest He promises to us.

If you want that rest today, look to God's Word. We'll help at backtothebible.org.
