Past, Present & Future

in Salvation

Did you know that salvation covers your past, your present and your future? Here's today's Bible Minute.

Once we come to new life in Jesus Christ, we have been saved from the penalty of sin. That's in our past. The Bible literally says, "old things have passed away."

And then Romans 6:14 tells us that we're presently being saved from the power of sin over our lives. Yes, right now, we're being freed from the power of sin in our lives.

And then one day, we're actually going to be saved from the very presence of sin. There will be no sin in heaven. John 3:36, "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him" (ESV).
