A Single Sacrifice

in Salvation

A single offering made all the difference. Here's today's Bible Minute.

Hebrews 10:12-13 says, "When Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. For by a single offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified."

One sacrifice by Jesus--one time--paid the penalty for your sin, my sin, the sins of all people for all time, forever. So no need for Him to go back every year and sacrifice Himself on the cross. Jesus went there one time to do one thing: pay the atonement for our sins. That is, to pay the penalty for your sin and mine forever! That's it. That's all. Penalty paid. And He did it for you.
