A Beautiful Thing

in Service/Servanthood Worship/Praise/Worthiness

All right, here's the question: What does radical worship look like? This is Ron Moore with the Bible Minute.

In John 12:3 we're shown a beautiful picture of an extravagant act of worship.

"Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume."

Not everyone appreciated Mary's worship. In fact, the disciples asked,

"Why this waste?" When believers sacrifice their lives or possessions to further the kingdom, many people, including other believers, will consider the act a waste of time or resources. But then, it's only Jesus' perspective that really matters isn't it? And He calls this radical worship, "a beautiful thing."
